At Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN), our skilled teams operate and maintain our electricity distribution and transmission networks, carrying electricity to over 3.7 million homes across the north of the Central Belt of Scotland and Central Southern England.
The Connections team within SSEPD is responsible for meeting customer's needs in respect of connection to our electricity network, including single homes, housing developments, industrial developments, generation developments and independent distribution networks. The Customer Connections Manager plays a pivotal role in engaging with our key stakeholders with the overall aim of enhancing the customer experience.
We currently have an opportunity for a Warehouse Storeperson to join our Melksham Depot. As Warehouse Storeperson youll assist the depot Resource Controller in the running of the depot by issuing stores, ordering and organising stock and assisting with the Facilities Management of the depot.
Other key responsibilities within this role will include, raising and placing orders with suppliers, inventory control, care and maintenance of stock, order receipting, invoice processing, maintenance of stock records and warehouse management systems. You'll always adhere to Health and Safety regulations in the warehouse and maintain site records including fork lift trucks and all other handling equipment to LOLER regulations.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you'll have experience of working within a fast-paced purchasing and warehouse operation. You'll have a full driving and fork lift licence and should have experience in manual handling with COSHH awareness.
