What is the Role
As Wind Turbine and Foundation Commissioning Lead, you'll have overall accountability for the coordination, management and implementation of commissioning for the electrical and mechanical systems on approx 100 turbines and foundation/transition piece, in addition to the assembly and construction site. Early engagement with the project team and EPC contractor will be critical to ensure plans are agreed surrounding commissioning activities on the turbines which will enable the early identification of generation revenue.
Some of your other accountabilities will include;
-Coordinating HSE, QA/QC and O&M guidelines and requirements.
-Plan, organise, monitor and support site activities to ensure safety guidelines are adhered to, resources are optimised, and projects are delivered within budget and in accordance with company and client policies and procedures.
-Lead and manage multi competency teams across varying levels, driving high levels of motivation and efficiency
-Manage individual and team performance and wellbeing, ensuring all training and development needs are identified and fulfilled.
-Represent SSE /Equinor and the joint venture project at local level, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with professionally and appropriately
What do I need?
We are looking for someone who has operated within a similar role at senior level, who has extensive experience in offshore windfarm construction, commissioning and operations, with knowledge of coordinating commissioning activities and managing associated tasks.
You should be qualified to at least HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, and ideally, your previous career will include working as an Electrical Engineer or SAP at minimum 33KV.
You'll be typically managing a team of 10 people across varying competencies, so excellent people management and leadership skills will be essential, and you should also have experience of developing and/or managing budgets in line with tender specifications and programmes.
As a individual, you'll be highly driven with the ability to adapt appropriately to situations and your audience, whilst maintaining an outstanding level of professionalism and quality.
An element of travel will be required, there for a full valid driving license is necessary.
