About the Department
SSE Enterprise Contracting is one of the UK's largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors with a product/service portfolio ranging from M&E LV, HV, Instrumentation, Street Lighting, Facilities Management through to Combined Heat and Power solutions.
What is the Role?
You'll be working for key clients within the Chichester and west Sussex area on small and large mechanical and electrical projects. This will see you involved in the project lifecycle from build to operation and maintenance. Therefore, responsibilities include; delivering and supervising multiple projects through deliver to handover including managing the daily activities of internal and contractor resource, as well as project documentation to appropriate standards.
In this position you'll also be liaising with customers, Project Managers and other stakeholders, to provide regular updates and reviews on safely and our customers expectations. Therefore, we would be looking for you to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What Do I Need?
To be successful in this role, you'll be educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum in an electrical discipline. You'll also have extensive experience gained within contracting operations, be familiar with the operational authorisation structure, have an in-depth knowledge of CDM and knowledge of IS0 9001 and IS0 14001 regulations, as well as holding a Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
You'll also have extensive experience as an Electrical supervisor and installer and can take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of complex projects while ensuring effective cost controls and resourcing to enable the delivery of projects to budget, quality and time.
Finally, you'll be able encourage innovation and can provide leadership and focus for the delivery teams, comprising of SSE and Third parties across multiple sites.
Due to the level of mobility required in this role a full UK driving license is essential.
