We finance, own, operate and maintain energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial and residential customers - providing them with a market leading project development service and certainty of operational performance and asset management.
What is the Role?
A Technical Support Administrator is required to support the Asset Integrity Manager within the Gas Assets team of the SSE Enterprise Distributed Energy division. This team is responsible for the continued management of the condition and upkeep of Multi-occupancy dwelling gas networks adopted by the IGT owner Indigo Pipelines (SSE Utility Solutions are the contracted Asset Manager for Indigo Pipelines Ltd) to ensure sound integrity and thus continued safe operation.
As TSA you will conduct periodic audits; review competence qualification and accreditation database. You will have previously worked with GIRS surveillance audit reports to identify any issues that require investigation; managing the process to completion.
Prior experience working with MAMCoP compliance audit reports is also desirable for identification of potential issues and you will be responsible for monitoring the process.
You should have demonstrable experience in working with HS & E incident reports for reporting any problems.
What do I need?
To be considered for the role, you will have demonstrable experience of current Gas industry connection activities and will ideally be a member of the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers as an Engineering Technician.
The ideal candidate will come from a Utilities background; possessing excellent communication and report writing skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft office; CAD skills would also be beneficial although there is opportunity for development.
A strong knowledge of the following is required to be considered for the role:
- Relevant Gas Industry Legislation and Regulations
- Relevant Institute of Gas Engineers Main Laying and Service Laying Standards (TD/3 and TD/4)# IGEM/G/5 (Gas in Flats)
You will preferably have a recognised HS& E qualification or be SCO trained or have an NRSWA accreditation.
