About the role
As Support Services Engineer, you'll work within the Support Services team of Onshore Wind Generation where you will support the Operations team in their full life management of their Wind Assets.
You'll use your experience and training to ensure the team assist in the delivery of quality maintenance management and industry leading safety within the Onshore Wind business.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
-Increase operational effectiveness by promoting cross learning, productivity development, Quality management Systems and Lean projects and metrics
-Ensure processes are clear and fit for purpose by conducting workplace audits, post work reviews and incident investigations.
-Support Onshore Wind in Safe Systems of Work and WTSR (Wind Turbine Safety Rules) best practice and strategy providing representation at wider industry forums.
-Ensure documentation and work packs are concise, effective, current and support the reduction of risk.
-Maximise staff capability by supporting staff development
What skills and experience will you need?
To be successful in this role you will have Wind Turbine experience , be engineering graduate, or an experienced industrial professional with an interest in wind generation. It is important that you already have an understanding of safe working practices and Behaviour Based Safety. While you should be able to work independently, scope for development within the role is available with additional training and mentoring to ensure you gain any additional skills necessary to succeed.
You will have sufficient knowledge and experience of wind technology and systems to be able to understand the effective isolation of plant/apparatus and you should be comfortable in working at height.
Having concise technical writing and communication skills as well as experience of industry standard software applications is also essential while creative flair and presentation skills are considered an advantage.
As you will be travelling to different sites it is necessary that you already hold a full valid driving licence. Interpersonal skills are considered advantageous to the role
