SSE Contracting's Street Lighting Design Team undertakes all aspects of the Lighting Design process for LED Replacement projects, lighting columns, wall mounted units, luminaires, lit signs and traffic bollards, taking ownership of the entire design and construction process. We undertake on-site survey works for column replacements or new lighting schemes which includes assessing suitable column positions and the preparation of drawings, risk assessments, schedules and associated works.
Following a number of recent contract wins across our Lighting Services Team, we are seeking to reinforce our in-house team with the addition of an Administration Assistant to be based at our Portsmouth Office at Solent Park.
This role will involve assisting with the preparation of drawings, schedules and associated documentation in conjunction with the Design Team. You will be required to liaise with various clients and members of the public and provide administration assistance on all aspects of the lighting design process. You will need to plan, organise, monitor and control your time to ensure effective delivery of the project, ensuring commitments are always kept whilst identifying and implementing opportunities to develop self and team through innovation. You will represent SSE Contracting at local level ensuring all enquiries/complaints are handled in the appropriate manner and acting as an ambassador for SSE.
Your Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate for this role should have good working experience and knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred but not essential) and IT systems such as Excel and Word, excellent organisational skills with an ability to work effectively within a high pressure environment.
You will be self motivated with excellent personal effectiveness and the ability to manage workload whilst balancing client requirements.
You should be a team player with good relationship building skills, excellent verbal & written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
