Location: Havant with some flexibility
Salary: £50,556 - £66,767 depending on skills and experience
Permanent/Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available
Its an exciting time to join SSE Energy Services as we continue our separation from SSE and establish ourselves as a retailer. With an increased focus on digitalisation we are making lots of changes and are looking for an experienced Software, Licence and Asset Manager to join the team.
In this new role, you will develop and maintain the IT Software Asset Management strategy, with the overall goal to ensure consistent and cost-effective management of Software Asset lifecycles. Some key elements of this role will be;
*To define, manage and govern all aspects of the end-to-end Software Asset lifecycle in accordance with agreed policy and process.
*To ensure a consistent and cost-effective approach to all aspects of managing the lifecycle of Software Assets (including provisioning, maintenance, compliance, management and decommissioning).
*To own and be accountable for all aspects of the Software Asset Management process, including development, governance, compliance, audit, reporting and continual improvement.
*To ensure the process is operated in line with documented requirements, targets, SLAs and OLAs.
*To work with other process owners to ensure that the process integrates into an overall Service Management System and that interfaces with other IT processes are identified, defined and monitored.
Your Skills and Experience
We are looking for you to join us with comparable experience, ideally including vendor management in an IT similar scale business. You will have an in depth understanding of all aspects of the software cycle along with other ITIL processes gained from your time spent in previous roles. You should have demonstrable knowledge of the requirements of ISO 20000 standard and its interdependency on Service Management processes
We would like you to be qualified to ITIL practioner level as well as Certified Software Asset Management (CSAM) however this isn't essential as we are just as interested in candidates who are qualified by experience. Experience using Service Now would be an advantage, particularly if you've implemented and managed a CMDB. Experience of managing cloud licensing or working under a Transitional Services Agreement would be a benefit but is not essential.
You will show good knowledge of financial management, budgeting and purchasing processes and will have an expertise with technology sourcing in a equivalent organisation.
Self-motivated, with excellent personal effectiveness, you'll manage your own workload and work independently incorporating short notice changes and demands. An excellent communicator, you'll also be able to build and maintain brilliant stakeholder relationships both within SSE and externally and be highly skilled at influencing and negotiating.
