About the Department
Operations are responsible for keeping the lights on; we are at the front line on the Network. If we find a fault, it is our responsibility to respond to the fault, and dispatch our skilled teams to fix it as quickly as possible. We work in all hours, and through all weathers, ensuring our customers are never without power.
What is the Role?
You'll be responsible for managing the day to day running of the Networks social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social platforms) and the SSEN Website. Working alongside key stakeholders across the business including Corporate Affairs, youll develop and deploy social media campaigns that will support the goals of that area. This includes checking and changing public webpages within set timescales and with compliance in mind.
As the Social Media Officer, you'll also post HV notification on Twitter and Facebook when required to reduce call volumes into the Customer Contact Centre. You'll also be expected to protect the SSE brand and make decisions on how best to tackle a negative situation on social platforms.
Finally, you'll manage our customers needs and help to ensure SSE remain penalty free and achieve our goals. To do this youll deal with customer by responding to any queries they have relating to power cuts, connections enquiries and projects.
What Do I Need?
We are looking for a candidate with experience in a similar role in areas such as; approving website content, campaign management and press releases. It would also be beneficial if you understood either Networks and Connections or a Customer Services environment.
You'll also have knowledge of excel spreadsheets and excellent communications skills. Finally, you'll have an outgoing personality, be creative with excellent time management.
