About the Department
Energy Customer Solutions is the face of SSE to our customers in GB and Ireland, providing leading and reliable B2B services as well as leading retail solutions for our B2C customers.
What is the Role
The "Demand and Install" team is responsible for ensuring that there is an active, multi-channel, tailored approach to engaging our customers, and generating the "Demand" of booked smart meter install appointments, and that the programme can successfully and efficiently "Install" smart meters for our customers. This team now has an established leadership team and is recruiting a senior project manager to lead the "Demand" team, to manage junior PMs and analysts in the team and to drive delivery of effective campaigning.
1. Team leadership
Setting direction to the Demand team, providing a route for escalation, prioritising activities, managing effective delivery of the teams objectives, working with the Customer Demand Steering group and other key business and external stakeholders
2. Campaign design
Ownership of the overall campaign design approach, engaging with marketing and external agencies to ensure customer conversion is maximised. Driving continuous improvement, ensuring that volumes are maintained, that third parties delivery their obligations for a high quality campaign approach.
3. Customer incentives
Leadership of customer incentive programme: designing, planning and delivering incentive initiatives - ensuring initial scoping, development of stakeholder presentation materials, building high level business case, process design, and driving multiple parties to ensure successful delivery (e.g. legal, sales, procurement etc). Ensuring that incentive progress reporting drives ongoing improvement.
4. Performance dashboards
Ensuring that demand or install performance dashboards delivered by team analysts are supporting quality decision-making, insight and performance management
Working with team analysts to ensure reporting is of a high quality, that actions and owners are identified and tracked, and that insight continues to develop
6. Continuous improvement
Leading on existing or planned processes, suggest and design improvements, planning and delivery of improvements
Facilitating the Customer Demand Steering group: ensuring that it is an effective, well-run decision-making forum. Development of presentation materials, facilitation of workshops, carrying out analysis, updating plans, ensuring meetings are minuted and actions complete
What do I need?
-Working in a business project management environment: delivering projects/change
-Working knowledge of industry standard project methods, either waterfall project methodology or agile
-Stakeholder management skills
-Experience of working on regulatory projects, preferably in the energy sector, or on smart meter rollout programmes is beneficial
-Proactive, organised self-starter, pragmatic
-Strong attention to detail
-Must have good written, verbal and presentation skills, experience of MS Office suite including Power Point and Excel
-Team player with a friendly and open style
