What is the Role?
The SSE ET Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Manager will report to the Head of SHE for Telecoms. You'll have responsibility for maintaining the SHE direction across the business, supporting Project and Operational Teams in delivering work activities, ensuring CDM compliance and delivering training when required. You'll also provide SHE advice to all levels of the business and create/update safety documents in line with ISO 45001 as well as supporting SHE KPI reporting.
What do I need?
You'll hold a minimum of NEBOSH Construction / General Certificate, or equivalent, and have significant experience of SHE Management and CDM on large construction projects.
You'll also need to be flexible for regular travel across all SSE sites.
Previous Telecoms, working at height and construction/utility experience will be beneficial as will the ability to:
- build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- influence and motivate a large CDM Project Team
- provide coaching and mentoring
- organise and prioritise own workload
- work independently
- have clear and concise communicator both written and oral
It is an essential requirement for this role that you have a full, current driving licence.
