What is the Role
SSE Telecoms requires an experienced Sector Director. As MD of the Enterprise sector you will be accountable for the end to end strategy, delivery and P&L. Working in a matrix structure utilising the expertise of key business development and operational teams.
The Sector Director will develop, implement and articulate a clear and defined sector strategy to meet revenue, sales, margin and cost targets for the Enterprise sector (including capex and New Product Development requirements). You are expected to keep abreast of market changes and organize market analysis as appropriate to ensure the sales strategy is positioned accordingly. You will review progress against targets and proactively deliver positive outcomes in areas of underperformance.
Within the role you will create and implement strategic and operational go to market plans. Direct customer engagement strategy developing relationships at "C" level and leading complex sales bids and cycles to drive recurring value.
Good commercial experience is necessary as you will track progress and report variances to budget while working within established finance systems.
As a focused and driven individual, you will achieve agreed activity, success and profit targets and demonstrate a strong focus on driving improvements in revenue, margin, customer satisfaction (Net Promoter Scores) and retention.
The Sector Director will be a key member of the leadership team leveraging resources efficiently to drive continued revenue growth, build and grow relationships with new and existing customers and deliver all objectives, targets and KPIs.
What do I need?
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the Telecoms industry. As a strong leader, you will have with proven experience of formulating and implementing sales strategies and a robust background in B2B sales and delivery with emphasis on large enterprise negotiations.
You will be an influential communicator allowing you to relay the value proposition while maintaining a deep understanding of the product, challenges and intricacies of operating successfully within a matrix management structure.
Strategy planning with the ability to undertake economic impact assessments is required. Therefore, strong finance and commercial acumen where you can interpret company accounts and create budgets with customer business plans is essential.
It is important that you have the confidence to motivate and influence at all levels allowing you to work collaboratively throughout the business.
