What is the Role
Reporting to the Ops Support Engineer, you'll carry out all encompassing Safe System of Work duties on behalf of the Production team to ensure Keadby Power Station delivers all activities in line with the key goals of health, safety, environment, availability, efficiency and flexibility.
Your key accountabilities will include;
- Being Authorised to perform all key roles under SSEs Safe System of Work process,
- Ensuring day-to-day System Safety is applied in a proactive manner role,
- Preparing and implementing all Operational and System Safety Outage Management,
- Carrying our Safe System of Work (SSoW) audits, training, mentoring, and authorisation
- Being an active member of the Emergency Command and Incident Response teams
What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of System Safety application in a process driven environment and be capable of adopting a lead role in offering advice and support with regards SSOW application. You'll take pride in seeking best practice, new ideas and opportunities from the external market and champion their implementation.
As an effective team player, you strive for improvement on all station KPIs and have the ability to constructively challenge traditional thought processes encouraging the consideration of different solutions.
You will also need strong organisational and planning skills, allowing you anticipate future situations and implement the appropriate plans to meet them.
