SSE Enterprise Utilities is the Distributed Energy and Private Networks business of SSE plc. We finance, own, operate and maintain energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial and residential customers - providing them with a market leading project development service and certainty of operational performance and asset management.
What is the Role?
As part of this team, you will be responsible for the running of our internal stores, ordering materials to sites and managing the location of materials and costs at all times. Working closely with our programmer to ensure materials are on site in a timely manner & the maintenance and calibration of tooling and plant equipment. You will also be required to look after a small vehicle fleet ensuring all vehicles are signed in and out with expectations and that they are kept in date of services, MOTS. Etc.
Strong organisational skills and a good level of computer literacy are required for this role, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) are essential for completing daily orders and location of materials. You will be preparing and producing reports for management when required. Strong attention to detail will enable you to maintain the high degree of accuracy required for data capture and recording.
What do I need?
The successful candidate should have a knowledge of Gas and/or Water Utilities but not essential as training will be provided.
A strong background in Administration with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Strong time management and planning skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will be proactive with a track record of producing high quality work and good communication skills. This job requires communication with all levels of management and clients. You must be approachable and a good problem solver.
