Reporting to the Service Manager you will be based from home servicing the Northwest of England. You will need to be electrically biased service engineer with experience in the Paper industry ideally.
You will be in charge of your own day travelling to different customers based around the North West performing general PPMs as well as being on call for when equipment breaks down.
You will be on call 1 in every 3 weeks.
My client is looking for a candidate that is happy to travel to customers sites and is able to represent the business in a friendly, professional manner at all times.
You will be mainly looking after Quality Control Systems and Distribution Controls Systems within the Paper industry. This can range from getting your hands dirty and being on the factory floor fixing a problem to hooking the laptop up and programming the systems.
Overall the role is a very rewarding one. Traveling up and down the North West looking after high quality customers with the luxury of being based from home.
The right candidate will need to be very flexible in their approach to work, able to communicate with others well and effectively plan their day.
Responsibilities will include :
Call out when scheduled ( 1 in every 3 )
Ensure the company's processes are being adhered too.
Be aware of and manage environmental risks where needed.
Configures, maintains and services systems and QCS products.
Provides Hardware support on site for QCS and DCS equipment, including preventive and corrective maintenance, spares management and other system healthcare activities, including out of hours support
Commissions equipment in the field.
Advises clients as to maintenance procedures, evolution, site planning, operational methods, process measurement and control.
Electrically qualified I.E HNC/D - Electrical apprenticeship etc
Experience of QCS and DCS Equipment
Strong background in service & maintenance.
Ability to do technical reports and fault find.
Self Motivated and able to work unsupervised
Great attention to detail
Needs to be very well organised.
knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel
Clean full driving licence
Fluent written & spoken English
Car or car allowance
On call uplift (£100) per every week on call plus OT if called out
O.T. up to double time
