What is the Role?
Due to growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Provisioning Team Manager to join our existing team in Reading, helping us deliver telecommunications solutions to a wide range of clients across the UK. The purpose of this newly formed role is to enable sales and aid company growth through leadership and management of SSE Enterprise Telecoms Provisioning Team delivering to time and to budget.
The Provisioning Team Manager is responsible for managing the Sales Validation, Provisioning Delivery Order Managers (and their Team Leaders) and Escalation teams, ensuring service delivery excellence is achieved at every point in the Order lifecycle and that the services are commensurate with customer/business SLAs, as well as upholding the continuous improvement of Service Delivery quality and customer satisfaction.
Absolute commitment to exceptional levels of customer service is critical as this is reflected in our Net Promotor Score. The role holder shall support the Bid Team when required to aid in securing new major projects and programmes, whilst building and maintaining a Provisioning capability ready to fulfil the requirements of our Major Programmes.
What do I need?
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within a senior, customer facing telecoms delivery role handling major stakeholders both internally and externally. We are looking for confident candidates with demonstrable leadership skills, who can show initiative and work flexibly to ensure that we are delivering orders to time and budget.
You will be highly experienced in telecommunications provisioning/projects, and working with suppliers such as BT Openreach, Virgin Media, COLT, TalkTalk etc, with significant experience of leading large, multi-disciplined (including technical) teams. Solid knowledge of carrier processes for delivery of data connectivity solutions such as fibre, optical, Ethernet, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, ADSL, PSTN is highly desirable. Furthermore, a working understanding of escalation handling within telecoms industry including both customer service management and supplier handling is key to success in this role.
The ability to effectively lead and work with cross-functional teams for complaint investigation, root cause analysis, identification and implementation of corrective/preventative actions combined with strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Your strong communication skills will aid you in assisting with providing regular updates and reviews, as well as dealing with escalated problems and managing customer's expectations.
You be comfortable negotiating with and challenging at any level and you will use your tenacious and positive attitude to influence customers, staff and suppliers.
You will be expected to pull together key information and reports and therefore, proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is required.
