The SSE Renewables Change Programmes Team (CPT) is focused on shaping, governing and successfully delivering major change programmes across SSE Renewables and SSE Thermal to support the achievement of their core purpose and to provide other cross-business services.
As Project Manager, you'll play a key role within CPT, working with multiple stakeholders to deliver key outputs and capabilities to enable change and create business benefits.
Some of your main accountabilities will include:
- Ensure assigned projects are initiated with appropriate documentation and approval including clear definition of project objectives, scope and outputs
- Ensure the project stakeholders are identified and managed; ensure key stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the project lifecycle
- Deliver the project in line with the agreed quality plan and achieve the project success criteria
- Produce regular reporting and conduct governance meetings as agreed with the project Sponsor and in alignment with governance standards and PMO guidelines
- Provide effective leadership of the project team giving support and direction to achieve high project team performance
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone who has a proven background in utilising standard project management tools and techniques to ensure projects are delivered with the right control and governance. You should have a relevant project management qualification such as Prince 2 or APM, with demonstrable experience managing high profile projects.
You'll be capable of managing multiple projects, changes and priorities simultaneously, and most importantly, you'll have outstanding communication skills, allowing you forge strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders up to Director level.
