About the Role

Base Location: Flexible

Salary: £37,600 to £56,400 + car / car allowance + performance related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time| Flexible First options available

Working as part of the SSE Renewables Environment Team, you will be supporting the Seagreen project. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Management and monitoring of environmental requirements including onshore and offshore packages associated with the development.

- Preparation and update of consent plans such as Construction Environmental Management Plans and discharge of project planning and consent conditions relevant to the environment.

- Liaising with Regulators and stakeholders for all environmental aspects of the project from planning to development and throughout construction.

- Liaising with Contractors and carry out work site inspections to monitor compliance against approved consent plans during construction activities.

- Managing monitoring and surveying work and associated contractors / contracts, and preparing and submitting compliance documentation including site environmental audits and inspections (including vessel inspections).

- Review and approval of Contractor documentation and Risk Assessment / Method Statements.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Extensive expertise in environmental management or environmental construction management on both onshore and offshore environments.

- A broad knowledge of onshore and offshore environmental legislation and policy.

- A Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA or CIEEM).

- Strong commercial awareness with a broad understanding of project development / construction pressures.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comfortably liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

- Experience in environmental management of large-scale onshore and offshore renewables developments.

- Travel will be involved with this role, therefore it is essential that you have a full, current driving licence.
