About the Department

SSE Enterprise comprises three business areas: Contracting, Telecoms and Distributed Energy. Distributed Energy offers a full range of services which contribute to the development of smart cities and smart places, in both public and private sectors. We finance, own, operate and maintain a broad portfolio, from electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure, to distributed energy systems including renewable and low-carbon generation, energy storage and heat networks as well as building owning and adopting private HV networks. What is the role

This is an opportunity for an experienced and talented Project Development Manager. Working for the Director of Energy Optimisation and Platform Operations, the Project Development Manager will be an exciting role with a genuine opportunity to position SSE as a provider of choice in our local energy, whole systems thinking market offerings. You'll be responsible for shaping the programme management and development of our data and analytics strategy. The role will involve bringing together areas of different expertise and working with internal stakeholders, experts and external partners to ensure the proposition is developed in line with our customers' needs and our strategy.

The role will develop a wide and close network of client and other stakeholder relationships to ensure awareness and influence on market and to continuously adapt propositions to suit both. The role will be the main internal project interface, ensure development is completed on time and to budget. You'll work closely with supporting teams to ensure that projects are delivered as per strategy. You'll be responsible for achieving internal approvals in line with SSE and business.

What do I need?

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will have:

- Excellent stakeholder management expertise

- Strong experience in project delivery in line with strict deadlines

- Extensive experience in developing new and existing client relationships

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
