Salary: £51,600 - £77,400 + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The Project Controls and Reporting manager will establish, develop and lead a team of circa 15 to provide Project Management Services, Document Management, Project Coordination, Change Control and reporting leadership for all Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Distribution Projects across both license Large Capital Delivery (LCD) teams as well as functionally support the requirements of Operations business regional capex delivery teams.

The role also includes ensuring and managing a large, varied portfolio of Large Capital Projects (LCP) and governance arrangements, Project Review Boards (PRB), Gate reviews for project lifecycle for all capex delivery in LCD Directorate including;

- Reporting - Establish and implement a common toolset for project controls including forecasting, RRD input and management reporting.

- Governance - Ensure consistent application and compliance with LCP and Distribution Capital Governance Framework, including gate reviews and PRB's.

- Document Management, Change Control and Lessons Learned - Manage and allocate project co-ordination and document management functions across delivery portfolio.

- Develop, coach, motivate and empower a team who actively support a performance culture which ensures that all current objectives and targets are met but also motivates staff to continuously review performance, improve processes, innovate and develop capabilities to exceed targets including management and co-ordination of the project change process and reporting.

- Lessons learned - implementation of learnings and best practise, capturing, embedding, reporting and tracking benefit realisation and efficiencies.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- The ability to establish a project controls framework and consistency of information and reporting across a large, varied portfolio of high value infrastructure projects.

- Detailed understanding of Reporting, Document Control Software, Workflow, Governance, and industry best practice.

- Leadership experience and experience delivering successful portfolio management services within a similar role/environment and the ability to influence across business functions to enable delivery, managing workload and supporting colleagues within the project teams.

- Experience of managing multiple teams, projects, programmes and change either through direct employee workforce and/or third-party contractors to meet targets.

- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to successfully develop and maintain strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
