Reporting to the Operations Manager the role is based in the Milton Keynes Office however you will be travelling the whole of Europe and the Nordics therefore the right candidate will need to be very flexible in their approach to work as you will be away for around 80% of the time.
Your Duties will, in the main be Commissioning of the Clients PLC's through to site acceptance and handover. Most of the clients are in the robotics material handling systems sector.
You will be responsible for the installation and debugging of controls hardware and software and additionally on some of the larger systems you will be required to lead a team of subcontractors to do the same.
You will need to have experience in the sector. Overall the role is a very rewarding one. Travelling around Europe and the nordics working on different sites, meeting new people and representing the business to the best of your ability. You need to be able to communicate with others well and effectively plan their day.
Responsibilities will include :
Ensure the company's processes are being adhered too.
Contributes to planning and implementation of commissioning activities
Implements commissioning design changes and provides mark-ups for as-built project documentation.
Supports continuous improvement of project
Conducts risk and opportunity assessments during commissioning phase to ensure implementation of commissioning plan, identifies and reports potential risks related to contract/quality/program/cost and recommends resolutions to management.
Assists in creating proposals for engineering projects or programs (provision of bills of materials and estimated engineering hours, etc.
Creates work plans and cost estimates for work in one's area of responsibility.
Applies and improves processes and tools in one's technical area to ensure effective project delivery.
Allen Bradley control logics programming
Siemens TIA portal programming
Knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens HMIs
Ability to understand electronic schematics
Ability to prepare and complete work to clear commissioning procedures
Ability to prepare and complete clear testing documentation
