My client is looking for an Experienced Planning Manager with an excellent working knowledge of Primavera p6 and experience within the electrical construction industry.
You will have a team of around 5 that have varying experience that you will be responsible for. You will be liaising with many different stakeholders internally and externally from Ops Managers to Tendering Engineers.
You will be providing guidance and leadership to the planning team in all matters related to planning, scheduling, programme commercial robustness and resource management.
Overall the client is looking for an experienced Planning Manager with excellent knowledge of Primavera. The candidate needs to be confident and of a diplomatic nature to ensure relationships are maintained. You will need to have a proven track record of not just managing but developing teams and be from an electrical construction background.
This role is ideal for a Senior Planning Manager with 10 years + experience looking to join a very large business with a great reputation in the market.
Responsibilities will include :
Make sure effective planning is carried out for all projects and tenders
You will need to be aware of and maintain an understanding of the contract documents, codes of practice, standards and specifications as they relate to programme
consistent and proactive programme generation, progress updates, analysis and reporting at delivery team project and business level addressing schedule progress, float management, key interfaces, On time delivery and resource demand
Maintain and indeed develop your team.
You will need to provide programme support is provided for all tenders. Input and present tender programme philosophy and delivery strategy to clients and internal delivery teams
You will need to be constantly anticipating and seeking out customer needs both internally and externally
Electrical Engineering Degree or HNC level (or equivalent)
Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6 ideally Primavera Unifier experience
Have worked on HV substations
Demonstrable knowledge/experience of successful project delivery of complex projects with multiple interfaces
£60,000 - £65,000
