About the Department
Energy Customer Solutions is the face of SSE to our customers in GB and Ireland, providing leading and reliable B2B services as well as leading retail solutions for our B2C customers.
What is the Role
Our Business Energy teams supply over 500,000 customer accounts, across broad and diverse client base. Our teams serve a broad and diverse range of clients from micro businesses to large national corporates, providing a unique service to each business with a commitment to keeping our clients interests at heart and helping to control energy costs.
The main purpose of this role is to support our business and help achieve our goals, we are currently seeking a Personal Assistant to support the Director of Business Energy and his leadership team.
Your primary focus will be supporting with diary management, administrative tasks and co-ordination with third parties. This will include handling complex diary and travel arrangements, scheduling meetings and conference calls, as well as the usual range of correspondence, reporting and documentation, some of which will be confidential. Further to this you will undertake projects and co-ordinate events to ensure work is completed on time, to standard and on budget. Additionally, you will create SSE presentations to ensure key messages are of high quality, delivered and source data is accurate.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role you will enjoy working in a demanding environment and relish a challenge. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be paramount alongside your presentation skills. Focused, well-organised and the ability to prioritise will be key to your success in this role.
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable you to interact with people at all levels of the organisation and present and explain management information clearly. In addition, you should be self-assured, exercising tact, discretion and confidentiality at all times. On occasions there will be a requirement for you to work flexibly and this may include working beyond the end of your normal day or attend and support meetings/events in alternative locations. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but not essential.
