What is the Role
SSE Renewables is an Operator of Essential Services under the Network and Information Security
(NIS) Regulations. Cyber threats pose a serious and evolving challenge to the energy system and a successful cyber-attack could have a serious impact on energy supply, adversely impacting national security, public safety and the UK economy. It is vital that SSE Renewables manage the risks to their business.
The OT Security Manager is the Renewables Business Lead for OT Security and is responsible for representing Renewables on the OT Security Group and ensuring compliance with corporate governance whilst ensuring that we can use our data to release value.
As OT Security Manager, you will deliver a programme of training and awareness of cyber security and will be accountable for OT network monitoring and all firewall rules
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, you will have extensive experience in IT, Risk Management or Information Security with management experience and demonstrable, game-changing accomplishments in the Information Security area.
A good understanding of the relevant security technology commercial market, the industry eco-system, and product lifecycle is required, and you will have prior responsibility for OT Security within an Operator of Essential Services.
Strong analytical skills and good business process knowledge complemented with understanding of organisational dynamics and behaviours is required to succeed.
The ability to communicate at all levels and within the user community as well as with technology staff, specifically, the ability to translate "technical jargon" into common business language is a must; so incumbent must have a proven experience communicating with, and influencing senior business and technology leaders
You will have in-depth knowledge of the Network and Information Security (NIS) Regulations is essential and you will preferably be GICSP, CSSA qualified or similar.
