What is the Role?
As an experienced and pragmatic manager, you'll be a trusted partner to our Transmission business making sure they feel supported in managing risks and take pride in creating an inclusive, effective and safe working environment.
It's your role to lead and implement the management strategy for the development of occupational safety arrangements making sure they are effective, consistent and user friendly. Continuous developments will be identified and implemented by you through innovation and engagement; ultimately leading to improved culture and performance.
You'll use your management experience to deliver improvements through a team of Occupational Safety experts. It will be your responsibility to attract, develop and retain our future talent and potentially your future successor, equally important is your focus to support and develop your team members through training, education and coaching.
What do I need?
We need an experienced and pragmatic manager with degree level occupational safety qualifications and delivery experience. As a minimum you'll hold a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent). It's essential that you're experienced in heavy industry such as oil and gas, networks, generation and construction.
In addition to the above, you'll be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and engagement skills with stakeholders at all levels and follow a proactive and tactful approach.
Due to the level of mobility required in this role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
