Salary: £36,836 - £48,648 (depending on experience) + Shift Allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | 24/7 Shift Pattern

What is the Role?

The 24/7 NOC Shift Engineer ensures that the network is monitored, and all alarms are diagnosed and dealt with in a timely manner. Communicating directly with our customers, they will ensure all faults are investigated, and the appropriate engineering resources are engaged to resolve the issue, and that customers and management receive regular status updates.

You will be diagnosing faults, driving fault resolution, and ensuring SLAs are achieved, all while managing customer expectations through regular communication. Strong communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative are a must. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks are essential for this role.

Key Skills and Experience

1. Experienced in all aspects of networking L1-L3

2. Working knowledge of LAN WAN MPLS, OSPF, BGP & DNS

3. Good knowledge of Cisco networks, routers and switches

4. Experience in site event management (Access/ Mains Power /UPS /Generator /Air Con / Security)

5. An understanding of SDH (Turin, Nokia) & DWDM (Ciena, Infinera, Sorento)
