About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our In Line Inspection (ILI) team as a ILI Supervisor based in Ambergate, Derbyshire.

You’ll be a key member of team interacting with Staff & Contractors ensuring objectives are achieved within this fast paced, customer focused department. Using your technical expertise and safety leadership you will support the delivery of the ILI programme for both internal and external customers managing staff on a day to day basis to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies.

The role does require the Supervisor to spend periods working away from home as deemed necessary due to operational requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Continuality drive a culture of safe working and safety compliance across the department.
  • Undertake any incident/safety and technical investigations across the site and manage all planned work ensuring allocated resources are utilised to achieve timescales and budgets.
  • Support the business through new activities, this could include the preparation of business cases and the provision of technical support as required and creating quotations.
  • Carry out staff reviews and keep direct reports updated on new techniques and codes of practice.
  • Manage and supervise multi-disciplined site teams, undertaking reviews, site audits and developing talent through staff engagement, performance management.
  • Development, support and implementation of innovative techniques – i.e. half wave, project
  • Chair pre-start meetings between the business, customer representatives and contract service provider prior to each inspection run

About You

Essential: Valid current driving license

Desirable: A-Level or equivalent

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • Ability to operate departmental systems including CDM
  • Strong IT skills
  • Proven strong communication skills
  • Strong organisational and administrative skill
