About the Role

Base Location: Great Glen, Stronelairg, Bhlaraidh and Dunmaglass wind farms

Salary: £32,329 - £39,463 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

As Onshore Mobile Wind Operative/Supervisor, you'll be accountable for the following:

- Civil inspections to include buildings and assets and HV and turbine inspections in line with statutory requirements.

- Ensuring that planned maintenance routines are carried out on time and to the required standard and minor civil repairs and manage civil contractors to deliver bigger packages of work.

- Liaising with internal and external key stake holders and facilitating a safe system of work for staff and contractors by carrying out inductions, safety start ups and reviewing risk assessments and method statements.

- Acting as a safety ambassador for SSE, engaging positively with visitors and 3rd parties around our safety standards whilst on site and providing emergency response by reacting to incidents, carrying out investigations and sharing the learnings across the business.

- Use of asset management system.

- Building and managing budgets in line with forecast.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have;

- Previous experience in civil inspections, repairs, working on electro-mechanical systems such as rotating machines, gearboxes, switch gear and control systems.

- Knowledge of CDM Regulations.

- The ability to read and follow engineering drawings, single line diagrams and schematics.

- Outstanding organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and forge strong relationships with stakeholders across a variety of levels and seniority.

- Experience of working at height and with pressure systems and lifting equipment.

- Managerial and leadership experience within a fast-moving operational environment and an understanding of financial protocols and experience managing small budgets.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to live within 45 minutes of Stronelairg Wind Farm.

Some travel will be expected as you'll be operating across Stronelairg, Bhlaraidh and Dunmaglass wind farms in the main, with travel to other sites in the region as required, therefore a valid and current driving licence is essential.
