SSE Enterprise Telecoms are seeking a full-time mobile maintenance operative to be part of the maintenance and callout team within SSE Telecoms.
SSE Telecoms have embarked on a journey to deliver an ambitious plan to grow business revenues over the next 5 years which the Callout and maintenance team will contribute towards.
As a maintenance operative you will report to the Callout & Maintenance Manager, you will need to attend each of the SSE Telecoms locations on pre-determined dates in its vast estate, located throughout the whole of the UK and undertake planned maintenance tasks at each location.
This will mean there will be periods of your working week when you will be expected to stay away from home. You will be required to join the current 24hr 365 days a year callout team on a rota d basis of one week in three on call.
With the role you will be expected to maintain general housekeeping both internally and externally; gather Information from various systems within the buildings (including meter reading, system monitoring and resetting) and liaising and monitoring of various 3rd party providers to ensure the work is completed both safely and on time.
Skills and Experience:
Excellent Health and safety skills are essential and a background in the electrical industry would be advantageous. You will be required to undertake various audit types at both our sites and third-party locations.
The successful candidate will have excellent working knowledge of site maintenance processes and systems and ideally have a qualification in the use of grounds maintenance machinery.
You will have an excellent team ethic while also being self-reliant and resourceful with great communication skills, allowing you to build a rapport with others throughout the business at all levels.
As a driven individual you will have the ability to work well under pressure and have the confidence and skill to lead others
Being safety focused is essential to this role, so a good knowledge of industry Health and Safety requirements is a must.
Computer skills are an essential tool within our industry, so a good working knowledge of Microsoft software is required (Training will be given on specialist software as required).
If you have experience of Sub Station environments/training and/or Electrical qualifications this would be ideal but not essential.
