About the Role

Base Location: Flexible UK & Scotland | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSE offices or depots around the UK and Ireland.

Salary: £57,336 - £69,982 and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The Lead Test Automation Engineer is a technical resource who fosters quality and product delivery excellence by using proven testing practices. They will work as part of a cross-functional delivery team enabling frequent product releases by orchestrating rapid, reliable testing activities.

The Lead Test Automation Engineer's focus is on driving technical excellence and test automation. Maintaining and troubleshooting the systems that they are responsible for, collaborating internally to evaluate and resolve designs and issues, and develop test plans, suites and processes.

- Design, build and maintain flexible test automation frameworks and automated tests that can meet rapidly changing requirements.

- Lead the transformation of testing activities to create overarching strategies and roadmaps for test automation.

- Collaborate closely with analysis and development resources to ensure test automation requirements are considered.

- Responsible for leading the identification of initiatives to deliver creative improvements to test automation.

- Coordinate and report on test automation activities across multiple delivery workstreams.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience of implementing and maintaining Automated Test Solutions within an Enterprise environment. You will also need excellent planning, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Desirable key skills are:

- Selenium.

- WinAppDriver.

- C#.

- Azure DevOps.

- Experience working with a wide range of application technologies.
