What is the Role
Dogger Bank is a major offshore windfarm development, comprising three 1,200MW projects, each with a capital cost of c.£3bn. It is the largest development project in the SSE Renewables portfolio and is a key, high value project for both SSE Renewables and its co-shareholder, Equinor.
The Lead Financial Analyst will be required to produce financial and commercial analysis to support the development and management of the project.
The Lead Financial Analyst will have primary responsibility for managing the projects financial model, supporting in the production of the documentation required for the debt finance raising process, drafting presentations for various stakeholders and producing decision-enabling analysis as required.
After Financial Close the role will also involve the production of decision-enabling analysis to support the Financial and Commercial teams in managing the commercial arrangements alongside the projects specific financing arrangements. The activities relating to the management of the senior debt facilities will include supporting the monthly process for drawing down funds from senior lenders and shareholders.
The project team will comprise of around 100 professionals by the time of Financial Close, rising to a peak of circa 140 during the construction phase, working principally out of the SSE project offices in Glasgow.
What do I need?
The essential function of this role is to review of financial model updates and report on impact of changes which will involve producing financial or commercial analysis, both quantitative and qualitative. You will be required to provide input into key finance raising documents such as the Information Memorandum and draft presentations and papers for senior decision-makers.
Ideally you will have worked within the renewables industry, but this is not essential to the performance of the role and previously worked on major projects and project processes within a similar size company.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills with an analytical approach and strong problem skills. You will be an organised individual who is accustomed to working to tight deadlines.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills are essential.
