About the Department

Energy Customer Solutions is the face of SSE to our customers in GB and Ireland, providing leading and reliable B2B services as well as leading retail solutions for our B2C customers.

What is the Role

This is a corporate focused role providing a combination of key account management and bespoke commercial analysis for some of the largest energy users of both electricity and gas on the island of Ireland. You will provide key customers added value analytical support in modelling forecasting spend and the impact of wholesale market changes on future costs. You should be recognised by our customers as offering the best level of Relationship management support within the energy industry.

You will provide maintenance and support to the Key Accounts customer base and develop key relationships with decision makers and appropriate departmental contacts within our corporate customer base. Responsibilities include but will not eb restricted to:

-Provide analytical modelling support to complex key account customers e.g. forecast cost modelling

-Develop and innovate services to add value to customer relationships

-Ensure all bespoke Key account customer requirements are dealt with in a timely manner, including month end reports

-Point of contact for Key Account customers in NI & ROI, including telephone and email contact points, responding to queries in a timely manner, using where appropriate, skills elsewhere within the organization to resolve customer queries

-Generate close business relationships with existing customers, including their key interfacing departments e.g. accounts payable, energy management

-Manage internal communication & inter departmental interfaces to address customer issues

-Interact and gain credibility with the appropriate level and functions within the customers business

-Ensure that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behaviour within corporate accounts sales teams is compliant the Company's ethics code.

-Following up on any overdue balances and being the first point of contact before credit control contact is made

-Communication to corporate customers on tariff adjustments & impact of changes in pass-through costs

-Prepare a variety of status reports as directed by your line manager.

-Work cross-functionally with wider sales team and other related departments to fulfil tendering requirements.

What do I need?

-Substantial business experience, preferably with commercial or financial analyst responsibility

-Ability to organize large volumes of data on spreadsheets and comfortable using Excel

-Experience in developing complex models using Excel to offer scenario information to customers

-Proven record in adding value to commercial relationships by providing innovative informational services

-A confident & professional communication style, whether written or oral.

-Ability to work to tight deadlines

-Customer focused with the ability to work with different internal teams to deliver on customers expectation

-Ability to persuade and influence potential and existing customers at all levels of an organisation.

-Ability to work independently, with initiative, delivering against assigned targets.

-Ability to learn and develop a working knowledge and skill base covering the electricity and gas industries, appropriate to deal confidently and comfortably with normal customer queries
