What is the Role?

The role of the IT Finance and Technology Business Management Analyst is to lead on the gathering, interpretation and input of all IT spend into the IT Cost Management tool that runs on the Apptio Financial Management platform. Once the data has been loaded you will model and report spend against multiple consumers, presenting these costs against actual, budgeted and forecasted figures. The role reports to the IT Licencing Manager, and you will work closely with the IT finance team and IT leadership team within SSE IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • To plan, gather, import and transform financial data from both people and systems across the SSE IT estate.
  • To work with senior stakeholders to implement financial reporting and processes into business as usual planning reporting and project scenarios. Translate business financial vision for managing their information technology into technical requirements and subsequent deliverables.
  • To support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for software, hardware and services.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • An understanding of financial budgeting within an IT environment
  • Experience of supporting the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Experience of managing and manipulating the Apptio financial management platform - or similar
  • Experience of using the Snow Licence Management tool - or similar
