What is the Role?

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Partner, with recent working experience in a Project Environment, to help deliver our exciting and varied portfolio. A key component of that is the delivery of our 'IT Strategy which is a key strategic enabler of business growth and critical for ensuring our IT infrastructure is robust, resilient and up to date. Shaping, planning and mobilising projects for successful delivery are critical so we can deliver the right outcome at the right time for the right price. We are looking for and IT Business Partner to drive and shape the portfolio of the IT programmes / projects within the Groups IT strategy (and other key IT initiatives as appropriate).

You'll be responsible for initiating projects, defining scope and objectives of the project, develop the business case to secure funding and manage project activities and associated controls required to establish them within the Group IT Transformation Programme roadmap. You'll also develop and own the benefits plan from inception through to realisation.

What do I need?

You'll need experience of working in an IT project environment, demonstrating the capability of developing project documentation, including business cases and benefits plans. Previous involvement in benefits management would be an advantage. Effective stakeholder and sponsor management are essential to the role, so its vital that you can demonstrate previous experience in this area: you'll be working with all levels of the organisation, including senior management and executive level.

You'll need to demonstrate significant skill and experience in: use of the IT budget against business needs; formation of a realistic benefits case; driving governance forums. As well as experience of all stages of the IT development lifecycle, you'll bring strong experience of having successfully led IT portfolios in a large organisation and will demonstrate a comprehensive breadth and depth of knowledge and experience of working in a complex project environment.

Alongside your excellent knowledge transfer skills to a proven professional level, you'll show a systematic and methodical approach to problem solving. Your proactive approach, strong communication skills and your ability to take ownership of problems and requests in a pressurised environment will all facilitate your ability to work effectively through others, planning both their and your own time.

You'll need to demonstrate the ability to visualise and articulate proposed solutions to business problems and form judgements based on logical conclusions drawn from the available facts. Your excellent interpersonal skills will aid you in influencing the business and facilitating agreements.

If you do not currently have the required level of skills and experience for an IT Business Partner, we may also be able to consider you as an IT Business Partner Analyst at £40,201 - £53,096.
