About the Role
Base Location: Flexible Scotland, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen and Inverness.
Salary: £51,600 - £77,400 depending on skills and experience + Car Allowance + Performance-Related Bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Reporting to the Head of Hydro Asset Systems, youll be responsible for the delivery of the strategic production plans (yr2-5) and the detailed (yr1) operational production plan. Working from the long-term plan through to real time hand over to the real time operations and throughout, youll be accountable for minimising impact on real time operations and maximising availability of plant and the delivery of the business plan.
A key part of this role will involve planning the safe and efficient management of all operational activities in a multi-stakeholder environment including, regulatory compliance delivery, plant outages requiring operational safety and or control of operational safety boundaries involving the Hydro Operations Centre.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- A degree level qualification in a technical or engineering discipline. We will also consider applications from those with a relevant HNC qualification accompanied with extensive experience.
- A solid understanding of operational safety rules relating to safety from the systems, along with an understanding of regional variations between DNOs and TOs.
- A high level of competence in application of HSSRs.
- Knowledge of operational licence requirements.
- A strong understanding of Grid Code requirements, particularly in relation to OC8/OC 2 and balancing codes.
