Our HV team in Swillington, Leeds is a small but profitable and highly-skilled HV technical resource, contributing to the growth of our HV business throughout the North Region.
We currently have an opportunity for a HV Maintenance Contracts Engineer to join this team, to identify and develop sustainable HV business opportunities, focusing on new and existing HV contract customers. In addition, you will design, estimate, plan and manage the delivery of associated work contracts. You will also provide a consistent workflow and optimise the profit contribution to the business and ensure all safety, quality, technical and commercial requirements are met.
Skills and Experience Required
With a proven track record in design, construction and operation of electrical plant and equipment up to 33kV, you will have sound HV and LV electrical knowledge and will be familiar with all Suspension of Operational Practice, Dangerous Incident Notifications and National Defect Reports. Candidates will need an electrical background encompassing a range of contracting activities and be able to demonstrate commercial acumen and enthusiasm to help grow our business.
You will have the ability to identify, design, quote and manage HV contracts and will be able to negotiate with clients to secure profitable business. You should be able to apply financial and budgetary controls so that maximum profit is received, whilst managing quality, safety and planning of the work. You will also have a working knowledge of the CDM regulations, in addition to general office applications including MS Project. Previous HV operational experience would be beneficial.
