About the Department

Energy Customer Solutions is the face of SSE to our customers in GB and Ireland, providing leading and reliable B2B services as well as leading retail solutions for our B2C customers.

What is the Role?

Part of the Business Energy Smart Programme ('BESP) team, this individual will directly report to the Campaigns Project Manager and work closely with Business Energys Marketing team and SSE Business Energys Smart Programme team. The role will also have a direct report, which is a copywriter. The main objective of the role is as follows.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving smart metering demand for the Group customers portfolio, by coordinating multiple campaigns according to tailored contact strategies. This role will help SSE Business Energy to drive the smart meter rollout and deliver targets aligned to the Smart Strategy and regulatory mandates. This is a demanding role where someone with experience is needed to hit the ground running to implement campaigns and come up with new ideas to get smart messages to the relevant audience.

Key Accountabilities:

-Transformation: Facilitate and enable strategic change across Business Energy and to help the BESP team and the wider business to prioritise and coordinate the core campaign implementation.

-Marketing: Coordinate the implementation of the smart campaigns from end to end and ensure a proper level of communication with Group customers

-Leadership: Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business and SSE Group, especially within Marketing and BESP

-Operational excellence: Establish KPIs, processes and behaviours that facilitate effective Smart meter promotion

-Customer experience: Promote clear, concise and effective Smart meter messaging

-Financial control: Work with line manager and wider finance teams to forecast and manage SSE Business Energy's campaign costs

-Compliance and regulatory: Implement the mandatory 'SMICoP survey as part of SSE Business Smart meter roll-out

What do I need?

We are looking for someone who is quick, smart and able to balance competing demands. You will need extensive marketing skills and PowerPoint / Excel & HubSpot as a minimum. There is no need for detailed knowledge of Smart meters, although this would be desirable. B2B experience would also be advantageous.

The successful candidate will have the ability to shape and produce grounded, costed marketing / project plans alongside the capability to develop clear and compelling messages both internal & external
