What is the Role?

As Offshore Wind Site Manager, you will be reporting directly to Head of Offshore Wind Operations and be accountable for the all SHE aspects on site, regulatory compliance, site performance, delivery of KPIs including joint venture obligations and leading the site team.

Some of your other main accountabilities will include;

-Ensuring that the Wind Farm operates at all times within Safety, Health & Environmental consents and obligations as well as SSE's SHE policies and standards.

-Leading the team in the Operation and Maintenance of the Wind Farm in accordance with associated policies, procedures, OEM recommendations and industry best practice

-Collaboratively manage the interface between SSE teams and contractors, ensuring a consistant approach

-Driving value through maximising yield and controlling costs

-Lowering the cost of energy through proactive measures

-Ensuring the site is compliant at all times with SSE Business Standards, risk processes and Joint Venture Business Plan delivery

-Reporting performance to senior stakeholders

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you should be educated to at least HNC level in a relevant discipline and have extensive experience of offshore operations and managing multi £million assets.

We're looking for someone with a background encompassing asset and contract management, but more importantly, you'll need outstanding people and stakeholder management skills. This role requires proven ability in negotiating and influencing across all areas of the business, but more so at senior stakeholder level. Your capability to bring people on board, manage change and show them what good looks like will be essential to your success in this role.

You'll pride yourself on being an innovator and won't be afraid to do things differently in order to improve efficiencies and performance.

You must also be familiar with Utility Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work processes.
