Our Role

An Estate Water Supervisor is required to lead the water network team by providing the supervision and day to day running of the water network, boreholes and reservoir areas on the estate.

The role will have responsibility for ensuring that we provide water to all commercial and domestic customers from our private network. You will lead a network team that will carry out all reactive emergency repairs and planned maintenance also ensuring compliance to all water regulations.

As part of the role, the person is expected is to manage any water quality issues reported by our customers and attend customer premises to carry out quality testing when required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

To be considered for the role, you should have a clear understanding of networks and team supervision, water legislation and standards as well as knowledge of potential problems and risks on the network. You will be able to establish maintenance and monitoring procedures for conducting asset inspections and surveys.

As Estate Water Supervisor you will lead and manage the team effectively to provide support and guidance as required. Therefore, previous people management experience is required and the confidence and ability to be the first point of contact for customer queries is also key to this role.

You will have solid water industry experience with a qualification in Road and Street works traffic act (NRSWRA) and qualification (Degree, HNC, C&G) in mechanical engineering is desirable. You will be familiar with Road and Street Works (NSWRA) working on the highway legislation and possess strong knowledge of routine maintenance procedures and associated safety practices.

You should also have comprehensive computer and communication skills including report and procedure writing including updates on defects and/or emergencies.
