Our Role:

Due to expansion of the Rail business, we are now looking for either an Electrician or Approved Electrician based at Surbiton Rail Station to help maintain the Wessex Area assets on Stations and Network Rail buildings in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the current Construction Industry Safety Regulations and SSE policies and procedures. You will assist with maintenance and minor works, as well as attending call-outs.

Skills and Experience Required:

Experience within the railway environment will be an advantage but is not essential as Personal Track Safety (PTS) training can be provided. We would also carry out a medical assessment prior to you starting. Due to the nature of our work on call is part of this position and you may be required to work away from home on occasions (requiring overnight stays).

Applicants must have completed a Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent and obtained a pass in City and Guilds 2361 or equivalent and have a good working knowledge of the 18th Edition: Wiring Regulations. A qualification in Inspection and Test would be beneficial for this position. You should be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of electrical systems and operating principles.

Applicants must have a clean UK driving licence.
