Within the West Sussex area we deliver a variety of Mechanical and Electrical Projects for our customers, including new builds and refurbishments. We currently have exciting opportunities for three electricians to join our team due to new project wins.
As an SSE Electrician, you will be working as part of our team to undertake planned / reactive maintenance tasks and resulting remedial works on our West Sussex County Council Contract and to West Sussex Schools. These works include Emergency Light testing, Fire Alarm Testing, General Electrical maintenance inspections and repairs, Quoted installation and remedial maintenance works.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in applying for this role, you must be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of Electrical systems operating principals and ensure compliance with the current edition of BS7671, Construction Industry Safety Regulations as well as SEC/SSE policies and procedures.
You will have completed your Electrical Apprenticeship and will have achieved an NVQ Level 3 (or approved equivalent) in installation and/or servicing/maintenance work or will have obtained a pass in the City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2 or 2351 or 2330 levels 2 and 3 (or approved equivalent).
City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent would be an advantage.
You should be qualified to Assessment and Measurement 2 (AM2) and have a good working knowledge of the 18th Edition: 2008 Wiring Regulations. Sound knowledge of Industrial, Commercial & Domestic installation requirements and the ability to effectively record faults/deviations of such will be expected.
A full UK driving licence is vital for this role as well as a passion for safety and the ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
