About the Department
SSE Enterprise Contracting is one of the UK's largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors with a product/service portfolio ranging from M&E LV, HV, Instrumentation, Street Lighting, Facilities Management through to Combined Heat and Power solutions.
What is the Role?
You'll be supervising a team of operatives (including sub or preferred contractors) on electrical installation works on our primary schools project in Glasgow. In this role you'll be expected to apply quality procedures, safe working practices and effective planning to ensure completion of work in a timely and cost-effective manner. You'll also ensure that all job documentation is completed correctly and that all work complies with the appropriate British Standards and/or any project specification or instructions.
You'll act as the client representative at site progress meetings and reviews and ensure that any work variations or extras are recorded and communicated to ensure timely submission to the client. Finally, you'll also assist with the preparation of specifications, estimates, designs, valuations and health and safety documentation.
What Do I Need?
To be successful in this role you'll be an Electrical Supervisor with extensive practical knowledge as an Approved Electrician and be a competent qualified 17th edition electrician and site foreman. You'll also have a proven track record for consistently running and delivering projects to the criteria detailed within "performance measures".
