About the Department
SSE Enterprise Contracting is one of the largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors with a product/service portfolio ranging from M&E LV, HV, Instrumentation, Street Lighting, Facilities Management through to Combined Heat and Power solutions.
What is the Role?
You'll be responsibility for the delivery team throughout the greater Dublin area and surrounding counties within the street lighting/electrical contracting sector. This includes providing direction and management of the lighting and electrical contracting projects to ensure that the team contribute to the overall success of the business.
You'll also plan, organise and monitor major electrical schemes making sure your team are making the effective use of resources to deliver both the work plan and customer requirements within budget. This includes managing team and individual performances, identifying training and development needs, providing support to achieve team targets, reviewing project performance, while at the same time ensuring that there is a high level of motivation throughout your team.
What Do I Need?
To be successful in this role you'll have an Electrical background in a contracting environment with a proven track record of operational experience within the electrical contracting or similar contracting market. You'll be educated to a Third level qualification in a relevant discipline, with an understanding of technical drawings and a knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
You'll also have excellent project management and communication skills, as well as good client and customer relation skills with the ability to work in a team environment. Finally, you'll be self-motivated to achieve targets, have a business acumen to identify opportunity and can work with engineering teams as well as the management of operational teams and operatives.
