About the Department
Distributed Energy offers a full range of services which contribute to the development of smart cities and smart places, in both public and private sectors. We finance, own, operate and maintain a broad portfolio, from electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure, to distributed energy systems including renewable and low-carbon generation, energy storage and heat networks as well as building owning and adopting private HV networks. Were also proud to be at the forefront of using technology to help enable a low-carbon world. This involves providing customers with energy optimisation solutions through intelligent systems and offering platforms and connectivity to enable smart energy infrastructure and demand management services providing key Smart Building, Places and City solutions to B2B markets.
What is the Role
The Director of Projects and Operational Support is responsible for the leadership of Business Support, Safety Health and Wellbeing, Compliance, Assurance, Asset Management, Project Management and Engineering across the Distributed Energy Business .
Your responsibilities will extend to the operational delivery of projects, together with driving value through innovation and implementing a continuous improvement philosophy.
A key focus of the role will be to maximise quality and efficiency to support the ambitious growth targets through cost efficiency programmes. It should be noted that the scope and size of this role is expanding, evolving and developing as the business grows.
What do I need?
As Director of Projects and Operational Support, you will be a professional individual with demonstrable leadership skills and ability to implement strategies across a multi-functional business to ensure that profitable business growth is accelerated.
You will develop and implement the project strategy to agreed budget and timescales; set measure and monitor performance against annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
