This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in reporting and analytics to join our Digital Studio and gain experience in digital and agile ways of working. You'll be working alongside experienced Digital Performance Analysts who will share their knowledge and help to coach you in the digital style. You'll also report into the Digital Performance Manager within the Digital Product Office.
Whilst working with other skilled analysts in the Digital Performance team, you'll be using your ability to analyse how our customers interact with our digital properties, such as SSE.co.uk, and the digital competitive market in general. From your analysis you'll be providing insights & recommendations on opportunities for improvement to the digital team and the wider business.
You'll also be looking at ways you can best report digital data to make sure the insight you give to your stakeholders and product owners across the studio is relevant as the work you do will help to better inform the products that we produce in the digital studio. You'll be constantly talking with your stakeholders to understand what they need from the reporting. Once you understand what they need you'll be able to make meaningful reports and bring this together using Excel and Power BI. Therefore, building relationships and good communication is key in this role so that you can effectively pass on your findings and recommendations to a wide range of technical and business stakeholders.
Your Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate for this role will need to have advanced skills in Excel and if you have experience using Power BI - great, however we will provide training in Power BI. Ideally you'll have previous experience in an analyst or reporting analyst type of role where your focus was to create reports to provide good insight to your stakeholders. You'll therefore have excellent communication skills and the ability to bring the data in your reports to life for your stakeholders.
You'll be an innovative person who is continuously looking for new approaches to solving problems and always striving to find improvements to the way you work. You'll be keen to develop and perhaps interested in learning more about the digital field and how to work in an agile way.
