What is the Role?

Due to growth, the Pricing Team within the SSE Telecoms division is currently recruiting a desk-based Solution Consultant who will work to build technical solutions supporting both desk and field based sales consultants. The role is to focus on winning business from new and existing clients. They will take ownership of the Network Solutions Queue in the CRM to deal with client requirements which are often bespoke solutions. As we offer a more tailored service the Solution Consultant will need to be dynamic, consultative and technically qualified in your approach.

You will have the confidence to build strong relationships and liaise with several third-party suppliers to ensure all customers receive competitive pricing. Ensuring optimal cost input on solution builds whilst maintaining compliance is a key part of the role.

What do I need?

The Solution Consultant will be articulate, confident and tenacious with the ability to act on their own initiative against KPIs. The ability to demonstrate a commitment to collaborative and innovative working with a focused approach to business problem solving is key as well as the ability to influence shaping of technical sales propositions.

They will be business focussed and committed to delivering exceptional results with experience ideally from a Telecoms background. Therefore, having sound technical knowledge spanning MPLS, VPLS, Dark Fibre, Optical, Hosting technologies, and layer 2 networks is highly desirable.

Previous knowledge of the strategic sales process is desirable as you will be supporting sales professionals and field-based pre-sales consultants who are focused on winning business from new and existing clients. Therefore, it is essential you can build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.

A high level of computer literacy, presentation, communication and numeracy skills are essential to the role.
