What is the Role?

As a Data Analyst, you'll play a key role supporting the Data & Information Manager on the delivery of critical outputs that will enable the success of the Asset Data Information Management Team, whilst also taking the lead on the business transformational changes. This is a challenging role which provides the rare opportunity of operational, financial, Asset Management and analytical experience and the chance to add considerable and quantifiable value to the business.

As well as working closely with the Data & Information Manager, you'll also be working directly with Thermal Energy business representatives to ensure business data quality requirements are captured and that data analysis, maturity models and controls are established. This is pivotal in helping the businesses to understand the Quality issues they face. You'll also be responsible for delivering improvements and establishing a greater level of confidence in the information we have to make key business decisions and help drive profitability in the organisations.

What do I need?

Due to the specialist nature of this role, we are looking for an individual with significant demonstrable experience in Data Analytics and associated Reporting. You will also need to have the following skills and experience:

- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Applications, including VBA.

- A high level of proficiency in MS Power BI

- Extensive experience in Data Quality Dashboarding/Quality Metrics creation and Data Science

- Knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, SQL and Java beneficial as well as of R, Python and Tableau

- Proven ability working with Analytics/Reporting development

- A natural strategic and analytical approach to problem solving.

- Data Science and or Maths & Statistics degree qualified
