About the Department

Energy Customer Solutions is the face of SSE to our customers in GB and ROI, providing leading and reliable B2B services as well as leading retail solutions for our B2C customers.

What is the Role?

SSE Airtricity is Ireland's second largest and fastest growing energy provider, supplying around 800,000 domestic and commercial gas, electricity and home energy services customers in the Republic and Northern Ireland. We believe in treating our customers like family and always going the extra mile in whatever we do and we are looking for passionate, motivated and hardworking Customer Service Advisors to join our team.

The role of a Customer Service Advisor is intrinsic to the success of SSE Airtricity. We are looking for individuals who are confident, articulate, and determined to succeed in a professional working environment, and quite simply you will be the voice of SSE Airtricity and an ambassador for our brand. You will be taking general enquiry calls from our customers with a diverse range of questions and needs so it's essential that you're able to think broadly and provide innovative solutions to your customer's requests

What do I need?

We are looking for people with strong Customer Service skills. Previous experience in either a contact centre or a face to face capacity and a history of working in a compliant and target-based environment would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given. As numbers form a large part of this role, we will require you to have analytical and reconciliation skills alongside excellent communication skills. Confidence with computers is a must as you will be working on multiple systems at once in a very fast paced environment

We take pride in our work and employ people who care about quality and want to feel proud to be part of the SSE family. We invest in our most important assets - our people. We believe in developing our staff to get the best from them and building up our talent from within. You will benefit from 3 weeks classroom training and ongoing coaching and support once you have left training to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge to support your customers fully.

Joining our team is a fantastic platform to start your career with SSE. Successful Home Energy colleagues have progressed through our business not just in a team leader and management capacity but also to work with our colleagues in different departments such as Business Energy, Digital, Marketing, Billing and Credit Control to name just a few.
