What is the Role

Due to growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager to join our Civils, Fibre & Structured cabling team in Perth, helping us to manage the full life cycle of fibre, civils, data and electrical infrastructure projects within the UK. You will be responsible for designing proposals, tenders, costings and quotations as well as conducting site surveys and discovery exercises. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the projects are delivered on time and to budget.

What do I need?

The ideal candidate will already have experience of managing and leading others including external sub-contractors, with a good knowledge of HUAC and local authority procedures. Previous experience of working on BT PIA projects, RAUC, CDM and Health and Safety regulations are essential along with suitable qualifications such as NRSWA, IOSH, SMSTS. You'll be a great communicator who is able to effectively manage and motivate your team. You should be organised, have good process-management skills and able to manage time effectively to ensure that you and your team can work to tight deadlines. A good working knowledge of MS Office is also essential as you will be required to produce regular reports.

You will have the ability to cope with a wide range of challenging deliverables in a demanding, evolving environment and display a strong understanding of SSE's business needs. Self-motivated and capable of influencing others, you'll be confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels both internally and with external suppliers.

Finally, safety is at the heart of everything we do; therefore, you should show awareness of both personal and corporate safety practices.
