SSE Enterprise Telecoms operates a 13,700km private telecoms network, with 265 Points of Presence and connectivity to over 80 commercial data centres that span the UK. We offer the expertise from a company with significant resources and infrastructure and its own extensive corporate networks nationwide. All aspects of system integration, from data and voice cabling through implementing complete LAN and WAN infrastructures, are undertaken for clients nationwide.
What is the Role
Due to growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager to join our Civils, Fibre & Structured cabling team within our Telecoms division in Perth.
The role is to assist in managing the full life cycle of fibre, civils, data and electrical infrastructure projects within the UK.
You will be responsible for designing proposals, tenders, costings and quotations as well as conducting site surveys and discovery exercises.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the projects are delivered on time and to budget.
What do I need?
The ideal Contract Manager will have experience of managing and leading others including external sub-contractors. You should be a great communicator who can inspire and motivate others.
You should be organised, have good process-management skills and able to manage time effectively to ensure that you and your team can work to tight deadlines. A good working knowledge of MS Office is also essential as you will be required to produce regular reports.
Strong knowledge of NRSWA and local authority procedures and an understanding of of PIA, HAUC, CDM and Health and Safety regulations are essential to the rule. Ideally you will be IOSH, SMSTS or equivalent qualification.
You will have the ability to cope with a wide range of challenging deliverables in a demanding, evolving environment and display a strong understanding of SSE's business needs. Self-motivated and capable of influencing others, you'll be confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels both internally and with external suppliers.
Finally, safety is at the heart of everything we do; therefore, you should show awareness of both personal and corporate safety practices.
