Energy Customer Solutions is the face of SSE to our customers in GB and Ireland, providing leading and reliable B2B services as well as leading retail solutions for our B2C customers.
What is the Role?
The role of the Continuous Improvement Business Analyst is to evaluate opportunities for improvements in how the business currently operates and to identify new initiatives that, when implemented, will delivery real business value and enhance customer experience. A remit of 'thinking outside the box' and influencing real change will be central to the teams and individuals objectives. The person will promote and enable SSEs core values of Safety, Service, Efficiency, Sustainability, Excellence and Teamwork at SSE Airtricity by driving efficient strategies, processes and practices throughout the business.
The role will encompass a mix of IT and business change related delivery. As a Continuous Improvement Business Analyst, you should come to the role with a track record in the delivery of business change related improvements & projects. You must demonstrate experience in implementing improvements. You will demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving, supported by strong interpersonal skills and experience in relevant analytical and process engineering tools. You will apply different techniques to resolve issues and analyse risk and impacts across a range of potential solutions. You will use clear and effective verbal, written and presentation skills, demonstrating the ability and confidence to communicate to senior stakeholders. An ability to provide logical and evidence-based argument and to influence decision-makers will be key to success.
Key Responsibilities will include:
-Working with the Continuous Improvement team to identify opportunities to Improve current processes to drive more efficiency into 'how we do business' and/or improve business teams working experience
-Working with the Continuous Improvement team to deliver changes, both technical and process centric, that arise either on foot of Regulatory and/or Compliance obligations.
-Additionally, evaluate new opportunities and initiatives to deliver real business value and enhance Customer experience
-Leading the analysis phase of change projects/initiatives from inception to completion
-Supporting the business in understanding the nature of their challenges and nurturing them to identify and adopt solutions
-Building and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders and developing excellent 3rd party vendor management
-Displaying and Demonstrating SSE Airtricity's Core Values
-Ensuring a standard high calibre of work is output on a consistent basis from the joint team
-Imbue a working environment that drives principles of Team Work and Customer Oriented delivery
What do I need?
-Experience analysing business change
-Stakeholder management skills
-Strong customer-oriented service ethic
-The ability to work independently and be self-motivated in an environment of changing priorities and demanding timelines
-Experience with the various Microsoft applications
-Process mapping skills an advantage
-Strong analytical, problem solving and Business Process Re-engineering skills
-Experience of using Continuous Improvement Methodologies
-Experience with SQL an advantage
-Experience with PEACE billing system
-Knowledge of the Gas & Electricity market in both ROI and NI
